Mike, here is the intro. Thanks. Karen
Last season Maya, the resident Manton Bay female, surprised us arriving back 12 March the earliest date ever recorded at a UK public nest. The resident male, Blue 33(11), her mate since 2015, arrived two days later on 14 March and the pair successfully raised two healthy chicks. More details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Here’s wishing Maya and Blue 33 a safe journey home and for another successful season.

I’ve tried to improve the ring number but I can’t get it any better than Alison.
I was trying to give you khaki, Jane, but selecting the colour is what take me the longest time and I can't get it right!
Anyway, I don't think we ever get a clear enough picture to read rings, tho we might guess them from the shape occasionally... rarely!

Scylla, this is really nice of you giving us our own colours :-)
A tip, but you probably will have already sussed it out! When you find a colour you like and want to use again, note the pantone ref and then you can just type it in opposed to have to select it from the chart.
I have settled on #DADDED so I just type it in, preceded by hash and then click on OK.
Makes it a little quicker and good for consistency or lists of colours :-)
