On 22 March, we were all thrilled to see the safe return of Blue 33 and Maya within hours of each other. Since arriving back, 33 and Maya have been busy re-establishing their partnership and building their nest.

The time has now come for Maya to lay her eggs, the first of which we should expect to see very soon.

In case anyone has missed it, I am bringing forward from March yesterday’s blog 30(05) is back! with news of 30(05)’s arrival and a summary of the nest action including a video of 33 getting himself in a right tangle with a stick!
Thankfully 33 freed himself but trust 33, only he could get in such a pickle :-D
Thank You Karen for starting the new thread for MB
Well just a hint of a sunrise this morning and no egg! Oh Maya you might have obliged me after I said you would lay an egg "yesterday" LOL....
At the moment she is standing on the nest, just looking as though she is pondering the thought of the many days and nights she has of incubation :-)

33 has arrived
And gone again Lets hope he has gone fishing
Both back on the nest, looking out, maybe an intruder around!!!
Morning all and thanks for all the earlier updates and captures.
Lovely hint of sunrise Mary.
I too hoped Maya laid her first egg yesterday as I have never known of one being laid in March so could well have been a first??
Maya is pottering away in the nest cup just now and looking around. I think she is waiting on a fish!
