Hi Chris.
What stunning photos.Love the blue heron, and that banana spider is something to look at.

Hi DPC, Val and Caroline
Thank you for your sweet comments.
There is a story behind that spider. It's on my Flickr site, but I will repeat it here.
As we walked along the walkway we saw a sign on the hand rail that mentioned the spider and pointed upwards. The spiders web was a yard above the handrail, and the spider had built it's web facing out away from the handrail:
This first picture I took was the standard one that everyone who saw it would take.
I then said to OH that I wanted to see the other side of the spider, so he said 'Lean over the handrail and I will hold your legs'. Bearing in mind this was after we had seen the alligators, I trusted him to hold onto me while I leaned right over the handrail with my heavy camera and lens so that I could take the other photo.
What a photographer does for their art.....
Hi GeoDave, Viv and Kat

Wonderful pics. It looks like the most fantastic place for wildlife photography :) Your egret is a Snowy, by the way (American counterpart of Little Egret - note the yellow area between the eye and bill base, it's blue-grey in Little).

Thanks aiki, when Caroline mentioned the yellow legs, I thought I had got it the wrong way around.
Tomorrow I'm going to put some waders up as an 'Identify these', so I hope you might be able to help :-))
American waders, eh? That should be fun :) Though I won't have much of a clue I'll give it a go if I get there before S :)
Wow Chris, these pictures are amazing!
Though not a fan of spiders, that has to be my favourite photo, and the story to go with it just made me laugh! You're mad! LOL
All these photos are brilliant though you must be pleased!
Becca :-)
