Late October 2018, the first of three autumn visits to RSPB Conwy.
A nicely fed Little Egret
A very hungry Grey Heron
The hungry Grey Heron wasn't getting any food, so a dash to the far side of the lagoon
Proved beneficial, though I'd doubt profitable, judging by the size of its catch.
A pair of Little Egrets on the hunt for food....
There are more photos to follow another day.

Live meal worms is what you need for the Robin, Mike. They may still be too shy to eat from your hand but they may remember you if you go often enough!
Kind regards, Ann
Unfortunately Conwy is 140 miles away, so my visits are in frequent, but you are right, they do remember the regular feeders.
Last winter I visited Middleton Lakes a lot, and a nuthatch seemed to watch my every move at one viewing point, not often used as a hand feeding area, except, by me.
Thank you Wendy.
As for the leg, the consensus of opinion is I've reached peak mobility, which isn't very much. With regard to the weather, it seems to have an effect, hot, cold, damp and other conditions. However, tying down what weather causes what affects is difficult, because too many other scenarios will come in to play.
So I just push on regardless, and if it gets too much, then reluctantly, I have to take a break or stop and try again another day....
A few more from RSPB Conwy.
Saturday 3 Nov 2018, a blustery day, but that didn't stop the activity, as can be seen by this Coot feeding on the choppy waters of the Deep Lagoon, viewed from the Carneddau Hide.

Playing catch up on posts again and glad I didn't miss these wonderful sets of photos Mike, looks like you had a great visit.

Conway is looking good both in the sunshine and with the chop on the water Mike, love the Goosander and cheeky Robin, I missed out on visiting Conway end of Oct with the birding group and hope to make it before end of year.
Lot to learn
Thank you Hazel, it is always a good visit, no matter what the weather.
Thank you Gaynor. I'm hoping to make another visit before the year is out, leg and weather pending, oh, and junior, who decided he needed the boot space on my car two weekends on the bounce, to move stuff....
Lovely set of photos Mike, I love the Little Egrets, they are such beautiful birds "herons" and always a pleasure to see along with the other member of the heron family.
Thank you Hazel.
While all our birds are attractive, in their own individual way, egrets just seem to have that little bit more attraction.
Possibly for me, because I saw them at the early stages of their inhabitancy of this country.
