Three of the raccoons are growing huge like their mother. The little one is only half the size of his siblings. I wonder if he's healthy.
I'm leaving on Tuesday to spend a few days dog-sitting for my friends in Indianapolis. This has been a bad summer for several personal reasons, and I'm looking forward to a change of scenery. My friends have all the streaming channels. I'm going to watch TV, treat myself to pizza and key lime pie, and cuddle the 5 dogs.

Now I've come on and I've found that I did some replies yesterday, but one of them was repeated. So I clicked on "Edit" and asked for one of them to be deleted. It seems to have deleted two of the three posts so now I think I may have also deleted Rusty's post! What a strange Site this is....
Not sure whats going on...
Today is sunny here but not very warm for July. There is a huge truck next door, taking away the household goods for the renting neighbours, who have told us that they wanted to leave and get somewhere else to rent. They do also have a permanent property somewhere but this is just for his work as a professional footballer, so as to be near where he trains. They probably earn mega money and the rent for the house next door is twice most of the local houses - I looked it up on Google and its eye watering! Wonder who we will get as neighbours next?

Daughter-in-law has finally got a moving date (9th Aug) when they move out of their terraced property and into a detatched one in a nicer area of the town. All systems go for them busy packing up a lifetime of memories so far. We all know what that was like.
Not a lot going on although have now been given a new date to see a consultant re knee and that is this coming Friday. Apparently the original consultant I was to see is retiring so not taking new patients. Will have to see what this one decides but hope for a replacement as pain is all the time even taking paracetamol.
Will have a quick look back at last weeks posts but otherwise that seems to be me. Weather cloudy with some sunshine but not too cold.

Looks like Kamala Harris is presumed Democratic presidential candidate. Here the big speculation is who she'll pick as her running mate with the focus on three or four candidates from mostly swing states (ones where the Republican vs. Democrat race is very close) and who'd be seen as a good balance to Harris's West Coast (read 'too liberal') origins. She's expected to choose someone this week.
Lindy !!!! Fancy deleting me!!!! I forgive you. I think the list waffled on about the buffet for the French class in any case! Interesting news about the house next door and it’s now former tenants! I take it your OH has not yet had his biopsy results.
Lynette - I do hope the consultants appointment brings about something positive for you. Today’s outing for the Flora and Fauna group which I have very much been looking forward to, turned out to be rather stressful for me. 23 of us turned up to walk along part of the Wales coastal path. It was a beautiful day. We have some very serious botanists, some birders and some people who just like to walk and chat. Also, we have our founding member who is now 85. I had spoken to him and gently reminded him that it was our longest walk and he found it a struggle last year. He is very stubborn and determined so we sorted out a way that one person left their car at the halfway point so that he could be picked up there. People went off at various paces (some people were still in the car park botanising for a good 40 minutes after the rest of the group left) We soon got very spread out and it was obvious to me that the gentleman in question was struggling. So I hung back with him. I found it extremely difficult to walk so slowly. When we were about just over half way there he was going slower and slower and wobbling a bit. Another lady came back to look for us and walked with us. I had to take his arm and basically hold him up. We decided that his blood sugar was low. He has type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately, he is getting very forgetful and he is also stubborn. Eventually we insisted that we help him to sit down at the side of the path and eat his picnic. I had to stand behind him so that he could lean on my legs. It was scary and stressful. I phoned 2 of the men (one of whom owned the car which had been parked at the halfway point) and they came eventually. By this time the food was doing its work and the gentleman was able to walk with help to a bench. He ate some more picnic and managed to walk to the car to be taken home. I continued to the designated picnic spot but the forward part of the group had finished their lunch and was walking back. I got caught up by the botanising group from behind. I then walked back with a couple of them and came home. I was absolutely shattered. Such a shame but the gentleman is sadly ageing. It comes to us all. After 2 cups of tea I revived enough to make tea and had a big glass of wine with that!!! I have been out to do the watering and feel not too bad now. I fear we are going to have to suggest that our founder member doesn’t attempt some of the walks in future. I find that very sad.
