Mike, here is the intro. Thanks. Karen
Last season Maya, the resident Manton Bay female, surprised us arriving back 12 March the earliest date ever recorded at a UK public nest. The resident male, Blue 33(11), her mate since 2015, arrived two days later on 14 March and the pair successfully raised two healthy chicks. More details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Here’s wishing Maya and Blue 33 a safe journey home and for another successful season.

Birdies LG DU update.
Still there and holding on. Just like us, she is on the lookout for Blue 33 :-)

Horrible forecast - strong gusts all day :-(
I've just got Maya frozen/buffered on the lower cam.
That's very, very strange - I cropped off the top cam and am definitely D&D-ing the cropped version, but only the uncropped version will appear. Is it to do with cache?
EDIT - Once posted, the cropped version ^^^ appeared! Weirder and weirder! Anyway, it's far too small.

Scylla, the top cam appears dead - seen nothing all morning and the bottom one is now freezing at times. Hopefully they can resolve this for it really is spoiling viewing.
Edit: re captures, I am just editing, D&D and manually adjusting. What a carry on :-(((
Oh dear, it is so frustrating trying to watch the camera, with only the bottom one live, and that is buffering badly. However, following on from Karen's comments, I am assuming it is still Maya on the nest, bracing against the strong winds. What a welcome for her!

Maya battling strong winds in her nest
Maya is still on the nest and never left! Perhaps she knows something????
Sadly the bottom cam is now going down more and when up there is more freezing. Definite problems with these cams just now. I must go now. SYL
