Mike, here is the intro. Thanks. Karen
Last season Maya, the resident Manton Bay female, surprised us arriving back 12 March the earliest date ever recorded at a UK public nest. The resident male, Blue 33(11), her mate since 2015, arrived two days later on 14 March and the pair successfully raised two healthy chicks. More details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Here’s wishing Maya and Blue 33 a safe journey home and for another successful season.

Thanks Mike for posting the intro. You're a star. For some reason it would not let me when I tried to set up the thread and removing it for the Mods. So strange as there is nothing abusive. But all is well now and we can move on :-)
I'm bringing over your post from the ROP thread as this is indeed amazing.
Mike B said:I have just missed the most amazing snap!! Checked the Camera and there was an egg in the left hand scrape with a Crow lurking....as I went to grab the scene the Crow picked up the egg and flew with it!!If Scylla has it videoed we may get to see it!!
I had wondered if the EG had laid an egg as it was so settled in the nest earlier. And we now know it had! It arrived around 11am and was still sitting there at 1.30 before I went out. Hopefully Scylla was recording.
I wonder if it will lay any more?
Thank you for starting the thread, MIKE, and thank you for filling in the OP, KAREN :-*
.
Yes, I was recording, but...

I was going to mention how frequently I've been getting the Ouches Dang 'n blast !!!
IMAGICAT
I hope she's thinking "Never mind, plenty more where that came from" ;-D
Good morning MC.
As for your 'Ouches' I suspect this is due to a 'Time out' applied by the site to prevent overload of the streaming capacity and prevent us being able to stay logged on for extended periods.
I will try and get some info on this for you.
Morning All,
Well the EG is still sitting in the nest with a butter wouldn't melt in it's mouth look.

I suspect we will see another egg shortly .....
