Welcome to the new Havergate group.
Havergate is a magical place, Suffolk’s only island! The reserve is nestled within the Alde & Ore estuary and is well known for its year round bird spectacle.
However, not many people know that the island is also home to around 40 hares. The hares were introduced to the island and have become very tame due to the lack of predators.
We are leading a two day event on the 10th and 11th of April to get up close and personal with our hares.
