Hi all
I know nothing about frogs, but this one jumped onto this conifer when we were moving a plant in the garden. I don't have a pond, but this is by far the wettest part of the garden, next to the water butt. She's quite big, about as big as the palm of my hand. Really pretty. :-))
Is it a common frog?

Errr no I didn't. I was close enough when I took the photos and it was happy to sit there for a while. I was able to go into the house, get my camera and tripod, bring it outside, set it up and snap away while it just sat there.

yes the female can grow quite large, two or three times larger than the male.

I have followed all this with interest and I didn't know all these differences between frogs and toads. Thanks for all the details.
I've also just caught up with this thread. I didn't know the difference between toads and frogs so thanks for all the info. Love the photos. They can certainly make you jump when they leap at you out of nowhere.

i,ll say not only that it common frog but a female one too the lines down its bach is common to common frogs
