A great place to go, so much to see. If any of you are down in this neck of the woods it's well worth a visit. The hides give a good panoramic view of the southern part of the reserve and good views. Marsh Harrier and Osprey, both of which are regular passage migrants have been seen here, Although I haven't been lucky enough to see them yet! There is a a good selection of waders during the spring and autumn with Green and Common Sandpipers, Greenshank, Black tailed Godwits and Little Ringed Plover being regular and Wood Sandpiper and Garganey recorded annually. I saw a water Rail for the first time ever last week.I'ts also a great place to spot a Kingfisher....I believe it's one of the best Kingfisher spots in the country. Redshank, Snipe, Lapwing, Reed, Sedge and Cetti's Warbler all breed here.
Thanks for looking

I agree, MarJus - it sounds a super place. Unfortunately it is too far for us to do in a day but definitely one to visit if we are that way for a longer period of time.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
It sounds very good, I have family in Poole, Next time I'm down there! Please give more details on exact location, main roads etc. Thanks.

For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
