Interesting news from the Blue Planet. Over fishing, Bycatch, and the Speacial Bluefin Tuna .

  • I think the BTO are trying to do something about urban Sprawls cause they have done an urban appeal but I think They are thinking of doing an app to help tackle it aswell though.

conservation charity’s try to do something about it but I think the problom they have is being listened to when it comes to things being built on green spaces and stuff like that sometimes.

Its no where near as bad as HS2 but
    there’s  a Canal near Sainsburys
where 2 mute swans nest in Spring and they built some Big houses next to the path of the Canal

It was At Gloucester and Sharpness Canal it connects to the famous River Severn so at a certain point  The Canal goes into the River Seven. Theres probloms with litter going in the Canal sometimes but the thing is with building next to the canal is that it can make the littering worse. one day I saw some litter in the Canal and one of the Birds were trying to get at it with there beaks and chew it.
The thing about urban areas is that litter can be a problom and if you build near nature reserves or next to  canals or beaches then it can get in the water and at that point even a litter picker can’t do much about that except encourage people not to litter I find litter tends to be more of a problom in more urban areas

  • I'm sure conservation organisations are doing what they can, and I often wonder how much their hands are tied, which is why I've never criticised their responses to HS2 and other large scale developments.

One thing that does reach the press, and HS2 has brought a lot to life, is Gagging Orders and Non Disclosure Agreements.

In the past, I've been to various meetings, not HS2 or conservation related, only as an observer. That means I can listen to and watch proceedings, but not comment or vote.

HS2 Company Criticised For Council NDAs

There are a great many reports of NDA's and Gagging Orders, not just around HS2, and  I've no doubt there are various permutations of them used.
