Yesterday i went out to Sculthorpe Moor with Jackfrost & his wife,
We had a great day, loads of birds but i'll tell you about them later,
as we were walking around the reserve, every time we got near water
all you could hear was the croaking of masses of frogs, they were everywhere, in the stream, the ponds & even in the grass !!!
In the pond there was hardly any space left for anymore to join in
not only were they up in the weeds, there were some under water just sitting & resting !!
the one that got away !!!When we were walking to the last hide we had to watch where we walked as they were all over the path, as we looked out of the hide the grass in-front was moving with all the frogs,
We did see a heron doing his best to keep the frog numbers down,
yum!!! frogs for breakfast, dinner & tea.
thanks for reading, Don't you just love Frogs !!!!!!
Wow, that's fantastic, good to see them doing so well :)

Yes they certainly are doing well there !!
A great sight! This also demonstrates the different stages of the onset of Spring throughout the country. Here in County Durham, the toads are just starting to spawn and it will probably be a week to ten days before our frogs begin depositing their clumps of frogspawn.
The greatest of faults, I should say, is to be conscious of none.

Thanks Red Grouse,
It is odd how spring spreads, the ditches & sides of the roads are full of primroses & wild violets but the daffodils are only just coming out
Yes that was some sight Val, even though my wife is frightend of them especially when we were trying to stop ourselves standing on them, and I must admit that for us was the best reserve we have ever been to. Alan
always many sides to an argument

Incredible!
amazing and a long time since I have seen anything like that. I did as a child.
