Better late than never, I'm just starting this off with this little beetle that came in from the cold recently, I don't know what it is yet
I think it may have been injured when I scraped it off my neck!!
THIS is a link to old thread.
Best wishes

Well captured, TeeJay. Not seen any damselflies yet this year, so good to see they are emerging. Had a speckled wood in the garden myself, but it never really settled.

Thanks Hazel, I would not say its steep and if you take your time you won't have any problems My lungs are knackered now being an X smoker so would have to take my time but I would get there and its a nice view from up there you just need a sunny day for the bugs and butterfly's to show.

Thanks for the info Jim, we've often said we will walk up the crag so I might have to get in a bit of fitness training first lol also depends on how much camera gear I take and binoculars, etc, lol ..... and then there's the sandwich, flask of tea, ......

That is the only problem? What to take up with you, I think if your going to go up then a macro lens is your best bet, there are birds about but I think the purpose for going up there is for the bugs but then agin you can get a nice piccy out of a 400mm lens food and drick is upto you lol
The way you and Mike, get around you don't need any training believe me, Mike makes me look like and old man trying to keep up with him lol
This one is for Wendy as she likes Lacewings, this is one of their grubs visiting the moth trap a while back.
That's mm on the rule, so it's quite small!
That is small Hazel.
And quite odd. I would have never guessed it was a lacewing grub.
Ditto what Nigel said ... what an interesting find H!
