Lovely photos Bob. I saw my 1st ever Cuckoo last week, had no clue what it was. I was out scouting to see what was about and it landed on a fence post in front of the car (rural area, fields and forests). On my way home I stopped again to see something, and heard a Cuckoo for the 1st time but never connected the two, as I had no clue what they looked like. I was delighted when I found it on BTO site.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
