What's happened to the Red Throated Divers on the nest webcam from the Orkneys as after a few days of watching the Red Throated Diver on the nest, it has disappeared on the live pictures. Has the Diver left the nest already after just been broadcast live for a few days. It's a bit of an anti climax.
Sorry for the disappointment. The adult birds have done what comes naturally and taken the chicks away from the nest.
We were hoping we'd be able to watch them on the camera still but at the moment they are out of view. We'll keep an eye on them (as much as we can without disturbing them) and post updates on our facebook page (facebook.com/rspborkney) and here and if they come back out onto the lochan in full view we'll move the camera again to follow their progress.
Sorry about that, but I hope you enjoyed watching them.
