CAPTIVA OSPREYS - Andy & Lena
I'd been posting in "Forum Friends", here's a snap brought over, for the sake of starting this thread with something!
IMAGICAT
Captiva lunch for Lena:
Egg #3
The "birdy barge" refers to the impression I got when I first registered the floating flock
The ID is a guess.
Well I'm useless at ID-ing any bird on water. They look spoonbill-ish, but the eggs are more rosy than they are. Maybe it's a time of year thing? Nice to see the 'incoming fish, walking backwards' shots thank you scylla

You can't be any worse than I am, and you've certainly got me beat for air birds, but I'm trying Don't anyone dare say a word!)
What a nasty start to the day for Lena on her 3 eggs - but Andy saw her right in the afternoon with a headless Garfish (I've just this minute noticed a Chat on the live stream, populated solely by a mod who ID'd the fish as a Ladyfish.

Response from Chat, and now I'm turning in:
That's what I call stepping up Scylla. De-heading the Garfish ! Well done that lad.

Captiva
Yesterday - a headless long one:
18 January
Chat Mod Renie gave me the fish times, I couldn't find any at first! What I've been calling a Garfish is what they call a Needlefish, and apparently a Garfish is any of the Needlefish family, or vice versa, I'm confused - but it's certainly not a Ladyfish, I reckon that was an error at HQ And I didn't have that one at all, because a clip ended just before it arrived and didn't restart until the party was over. However, I was able to contribute a stick delivery, which they didn't know about and seemed to find significant
That has worn me out!
This morning we got some Dolphins fishing in the distance - I cropped 'em, at least we can see some splashing
