Let's hope she finds use for this nest (with a male) next season!

    Good morning.
LR2 at present on the nest shouting for fish, as he has been mostly since first light.
It was good to see LR1 make an appearance just after 7am, I haven't seen her on the nest since yesterday lunchtime

  • In reply to Sandra :

7:45 NC0 delivered a huge, headless fish. LR2 was waiting to claim it

    LR1 arrived too late

  • Fantastic news about PT4 - great to read he has made it back. Thanks Sandra
  • 9:10 After for eating for an hour and 25 minutes, LR2 finally stepped away from his fish and flew off with a very full crop

9:25 A delighted LR1 came to the nest to take hold of the discarded fish. Luckily, no Ravens had appeared on the nest to take it

    9:34 Tucking in

  • In reply to Sandra :

9:38 Laddie with a headless fish. He dropped it off and left...gosh, she's spoilt for choice now! lol

  • In reply to Sandra :

9:52 Someone landed above the nest

LR1 brought her fish to the front and continued to tuck in

10:20 NC0 flapped down from above the cam to take the fish Laddie had delivered earlier. She flew off with it, landing on the left branch of the birch

10:26 LR1 took the remainder of her fish off nest

She landed on the birch to the right of NC0

Yes, it's always wonderful news to hear about a returnee especially after watching them on the webcam from hatch. She's been hanging around Kielder since late June.

Jaydee's 5th July blog here in case you missed it

BTW, PT4 is now classed as a female

  • Catch up...

11:15ish A Raven flew from the birch area and landed on the perch. An adult was already making its way to the nest when spotting it. The Raven shot off the edge of the nest just as the Osprey approached

It went up and swerved back round, heading off to the right

Within moments, Laddie arrived on the nest, another Osprey was flying back to the birch area in the background

He left 10 minutes or so arfer his arrival
