Mike, here is the intro. Thanks. Karen
Last season Maya, the resident Manton Bay female, surprised us arriving back 12 March the earliest date ever recorded at a UK public nest. The resident male, Blue 33(11), her mate since 2015, arrived two days later on 14 March and the pair successfully raised two healthy chicks. More details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Here’s wishing Maya and Blue 33 a safe journey home and for another successful season.

33 approaches what I thought was to mate but overshoots his landing
but I think perhaps deliberate as immediately defensive ????
33 flies off and a couple of minutes later comes in again to mate
Didn't look successful!!
Someone about.
33 has taken off.
Maya is mantling and then someone dive bombed her.
Maya has now flown off in pursuit.
The cams are really out of sync :-( 33 is back. Few moment later is flapping his wings
and has now flown off.
He has been back, still wing flapping and is off again.
Horrible when intruders are about but hopefully it will settle soon.
Must do some chores ..... BBL
Maya is shouting, 33 is on the campost - shadow give-away!
He has now flown.
