Mike, here is the intro. Thanks. Karen
Last season Maya, the resident Manton Bay female, surprised us arriving back 12 March the earliest date ever recorded at a UK public nest. The resident male, Blue 33(11), her mate since 2015, arrived two days later on 14 March and the pair successfully raised two healthy chicks. More details about the Manton Bay nest, including a table of the breeding data, can be found here.
Here’s wishing Maya and Blue 33 a safe journey home and for another successful season.

Birdies LG DU update.
Morning Mike - I think that is one of my favourite photos of Maya - every time I see it I laugh. John Wright is a fantastic photographer - he has captured so many great shots of the Rutland ospreys. I see the centre opened at the weekend. Hopefully they had a good day and it was well attended.
Not sure when it arrived, am just going thru the past several hours:
EDIT - they've been in 'n out since 06:00. Could not see who caused this defence:
IMAGICAT
All very quiet on the nest just now, and very grey.
Two different sizes. The first I deleted the number details and inserted 500 in the rhs box. The second I deleted the number details, full stop, and it came out much larger.

Edit: I see the editing facility appears to back again, Yippee!

Oh what fun we're having! ;-D
The cams have been down a lot lately but OK since the last manual refresh.
I'm off for a nap.
