The season so far:
33(11) and Maya both arrived back within hours of each other on the 22nd March. Maya surprised us this year by laying four eggs on the 4th, 7th, 10th and 13th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch in the second/third week in May.

Hi Patily :-)
Looking at the forecast it is to rain this morning, then a break from 11-1pm and showers this afternoon.
''Blue33 came and took the fish away - well, Maya had shown no interest'' Just maybe Maya is in the process of starting labour?????

Well, I did say earlier that she was in egg-laying position ;)
I'm off now for a lot of hours. If anything dramatic happens I should have it recorded, but no doubt you observant followers will already have covered it ;) Cheerio for now.
IMAGICAT
Bye Scylla and thanks again. Enjoy a good rest :-)
Meanwhile, nothing changed. Maya 33 continues to shelter the eggs

Sorry Karen and Scylla - wasn't thinking straight. I meant Maybe was contemplating a chick's imminent hatch
Change over. 33 rises as Maya returns.
All eggs visible in the mist!

33 rises and checks the eggs
Maya returns, 33 flies off and Maya checks the eggs before settling down
Unfortunately not a very clear of the eggs
I do not suppose we know which is egg #1 ?
Tiger Signature
Certainly I don't Tiger. Paul at RW may do.
Sorry Tiger, I've no idea which egg is the first. The only one I can ever seem to tell is the last one :-D
Seriously:) I always look at the one at the front of her. She seems to place it there which I suppose is easier for turning and listening.
