Hi
Having visited Leighton Moss last year for the 1st time in 20 years I saw my 1st ever otter. Well two actually (there like buses).
Need to get back soon, last time I got to the reserve at 6am and went straight to lower hide for the animal moment of my life. The moment kept me buzzing for weeks, after a hectic Christmas and New Year plan to return in the next few week hoping another early start will reward me with some more special moments....
Wow! Welcome back after 20 years, and what a welcome our otters gave you! They're just wonderful to see aren't they. I've seen them many times at the reserve but still get emotional when I do. Sightings of them have been cracking this winter. The summer is also a great time to head down to Lower hide with a picnic after work and just camp out until they appear. I hope they show up for you next time.
Roll on Saturday, traveling over Friday eve and staying local to get a 7am start.
Bringing my son and hope he will get to see his first otter!!
Lower hide early me thinks.
