Brilliant day at the moss on Wednesday 10th - starting with a superb pair of Bearded Tits on the grit trays at just after 8am, through the day till 2 I clocked no less than 37 species!
FOUR lifetime ticks in one day, the Bearded Tits, a Water Rail at Lower Hide (just a 1 second glimpse - but it's a start!), Spotted Redshank at Eric Morecambe, and the wonderful song and a sighitng of a Cetti's Warbler on the causeway. Great stuff! All topped off with Marsh Harriers and the roaring stag at Griesdale Hide. Thanks again, Leighton!
Greenshank at Eric Morecambe
Great view of Snipe from Griesdale Hide.
Wow what a day you had Late Bird. Autumn is a very special time here and it looks like you saw many of the Leighton favourites on your trip!
