Amazing days birding - every hide seemed to have something wonderful out side - usually a Bittern - I think we saw 6 different individuals - are there that many in reeds there. As we walked along ther were marsh tits too close for binoculars, nuthatches drinking from the ditches. Our final hide was Llillians to see the starlings cascade out of the sky and another two bitterns flew by!!! I have been coming to Leighton Moss since i was at school and now nearly 50 - I have not had a better day here!
