Sadly never saw the American wigeon or the Great grey shrike but its been seen again today but not by me :(
Got here at 8:00am and just as i went under the railway bridge i saw something in the water so pulled over and got the camera ot of the boot, not what I was expecting to see a Mink i reported it at the centre so they will deal with it.

great to see the rest of the photos Jim; the drake Wigeons are so attractive with their distinct head stripe and I love their whilstling sound. It is certainly getting colder at the moment so maybe there will be a few more winter waders coming in next week. Sounds like the GGShrike has gone.

I missed your thread, Jim, with all the hassle that's been going on.
They've been trying to eradicate the mink on my local patch but they are still around. One year a mink got on to a tern raft and killed all the young terns. We humans have made serious mistakes by introducing some alien species
Cracking set of shots especially the Snipe. Beautiful light on the Wigeons - such pretty ducks.

Good stuff, Jim, especially the Godwit in flight and the song-birds.

All fabulous photos James, when I clicked on them and zoomed in could see the amazing detail, really lovely.
Lot to learn
I think we are all missing post Tony, and sadly I am not good on remembering names so it would be nice if they got the signatures working or if members add their names at the end of their posts.
Thanks Nige, can't forget your name not that its a bad one lmao
