Just found this I wonder why its not up on the site?
Thanks for letting us know Steve.
It was down outside the Eric Morecambe hide on Saturday.
They don’t mention were it was seen but if it was down near the salt marsh it could be anywhere and a new post says it was heard today so its still there at the moment.
Strictly speaking it's a Yellow Wagtail of the Black-headed race feldegg. Pretty rare bird in this country so a very nice find.
A striking bird with that black hood and bright yellow colour. It didn't really seem to be living up to its Wagtail name in the vid though. Still, a shame I won't get up to see it in the next days, assuming it hangs around.
Saw a few photos of it on twitter the other day Jim I was wondering if any of you were going to get some shots.
MC (Paul) saw it somewhere on a report and flagged it up to me; hoping it hangs around a little longer :) what a beautiful bird and I'd never heard of a B-headed-Wagtail before.
It was spotted on a field near the car park for the salt marshes.
