starling murmurations

Not yet but hopefully in a week or two when I can call up.

I called in on the 20-11-2014 and saw lots of Starling coming in but no murmuration sadly.

I haven't been to Leighton Moss yet this autumn but hopefully will be able to make a trip soon.

There was a massive murmuration up at Gretna that I went to a few years back and that happened for a few years but I don't know whether there have been any there this time...

Hopefully the Blackpool one will show better when I call up in the next few days.

Fantastic clip of the murmuration Jim, it certainly is a magical sight which leaves a lasting impression when seen for real.    We are lucky in the North West to have several places where these Starling murmurations take place, thanks for sharing this fascinating video.

Thanks Hazel, nothing better then seeing it live to watch, and yes we are lucky here in the North West for the Starling murmurations, I even have a small one at the front of the house every nigh but only of about 50 birds.

I have some footage of the Gretna and Somerset murmurations somewhere... if I ever get around to uploading them i'll put a link on.

Also took a look at your photo's and after comparing to mine I think I should give up!!!
