As our wedding anniversary treat, my wife and I stayed in Lancaster for 2 nights and made our first visit to Leighton Moss.
We were there almost all day on 20th May and also the morning of 21st.
Enjoyed it so much that we joined the RSPB (we've been visiting various reserves for years but never joined.)
Anyway - the real purpose of this post is to say a massive "Thanks" to the on site staff who were all very pleasant and knowledgeable, especially Chris - who on arrival, gave us a comprehensive review of what we were likely to see and where.
Chris also signed us up to RSPB membership and as we were leaving on 21st, he gave us brilliant directions for our journey back home to Sheffield, avoiding the M62 and MI and taking in a lovely road "over the tops" via Skipton.
Thanks again Chris! See you again sometime.!
Don’t leave it to long Chris! I love the place and will be visiting again as soon as the sun comes out :)
