Young Robins

Hi, I have three young Robins calling round to our back garden, one is very friendly and will come to within two foot of me and a friend it has never seen before, I am feeding live mealworms am I doing wrong befriending this gorgeous little bird or will it still be ok feeding it, I have just ordered more mealworms because not only these young ones love them but I think their parents do too and are taking them away and that says to me they have more young also our Blackbirds are feeding their young one with them too.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your reply and glad to hear I’m not doing wrong, I am aware we could lose any of them in many ways but for now its giving me and the OH lots of pleasure and hopefully we might be seeing more soon.

This is a picture of one of them I took about two weeks ago, two are now losing their spots but the little one that comes to me still has them and is a little smaller so must be the runt but its so cute and friendly and today I have just scorched a new place to get mealworms from and its only down the road from me and cheaper then from the Net :)
