Song Thrush at RSPB Fowlmere - Feb 2014

An early visit to the reserve a couple of weeks ago and there almost seemed like there was Song Thrushes everywhere, this character was staying near the entrance and was still there some six hours later when we left :)

  • Song thrushes have been particularly vocal recently. I reckon there are about 8 singing around the reserve. Other signs of spring are coots arriving and pairing up, great spotted woodpeckers drumming, and great and blue tits inspecting nest holes. The first chiffchaffs should be arriving in about a week. GR8!
