He's been away cavorting in the countryside since February, but he's back with us, on full board. It's certainly a sign the nights are drawing in and getting colder.
Cheers, Linda.

I wonder if it's the same one as last year. I guess you'll never know. Strange they never nested in it. Better luck next spring.
That reminds me I'd better clear my nest boxes out. I'm sure all three were used last spring but I think I'm going to find a few corpses in them. It was a poor breeding season with a lack of caterpillars during the bad weather.

I hope you don't find any corpses TJ. They will be pretty manky by now! You are right about it being a bad breeding season. We had so many sad stories on the forum. I'm rather glad mine didn't use my boxes!
Doggie - you wouldn't think so looking at the weather today. It's been glorious.
That's so sweet!

It's been horrible here today as well. Strong wind has dropped but skies are like lead and it's been raining steadily since about midday.
Well for once, I can say it's been lovely here! Only day I've managed to go for a lunchtime walk! Rest of the week's been wet or/and windy!
