Hello!
’d like to know how long it takes between the blue tit mum mating with her partner (or another chap!) and the laying of an egg; also, if the mum has 9 eggs (as is the case with my gorgeous blue tut who is incubating them in my nest box with camera) does this mean she’s mated nine times and, if so, then presumably her clutch can include eggs fertilised by males other than her ‘partner’.
