Re an early post I added onto a thread 'My baby Blue Tits are dying!. posted by 'Elsie' on the 15th. An update on my GT's. The remaining 6 chicks fledged this morning.
Commence countdown, didn't capture the actual launch.
Was 6 now 5
Missed the next 3 to leave, down to 2
All gone, except for the remains of the unlucky ones. Will leave for a couple of days before removing them to make sure parents or fledgling don't roost overnight.
The internal shots of the box were photos on TV screen, bit iffy quality(very iffy).
The parents have been busy in the garden collecting food but flying off to other gardens so assume fledglings have dispersed
Cheers Richard
Indeed, very good news. Let's hope they continue to do well in the big wide world. I love great tit chicks.
Cheers, Linda.

Well done on getting some photos of them joining the big, wide world. Good to know that six have survived to this stage. My Greenfinch babies have already learnt to use the feeders after just a few days so the sunflower hearts are going down even quicker now!

Great news and nice to hear they have fledged, they certainly look healthy.
