Hi there
We have two nest boxes to put up early next year.
On made one from a dear friend, and one bought one.
What is the best time to place the nestbox on the wall outside?
We feel that placing a Nestbox outside is later in England (than in Scotland)
Is this the case because of the weather being warmer down south
Regards
Kathy and Dave

National Nest Box Week
"National Nest Box Week that ran in 2009. Starting on St Valentine's Day, was the time we remind ourselves to provide homes for dozens of species, from Blue Tits to Barn Owls."
Albeit this was for 2009 I'm sure the same will apply for 2010, there is also a lot of good advice for anyone that has nest boxes to put up or if you fancy making one!!

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
hi WF
Love to run along with Nestbox week 2010 - will take note of the dates that are mentioned.
I have Box No 1 that is bought from the RSPB, and another that is made a few year back (by a friend who is sadly not here anymore) {sad} (He made a bird table for me too - bless him)
So the Box No 2 means a lot as well as having a history of Tit families attached to the box.
Dave will have to repair it here and there, and we will take pictures of the boxes once they are set up in the garden area.
so looking forward to nesting blue tits once more.
