I put a nest box up last year with a webcam in and was delighted when a pair of blue tits moved in. Six eggs were laid but shortly after hatching one by one they all died. Since before christmas a pair of sparrows took over the box. They laid 4 eggs several weeks ago which have now hatched but it seems as if the same thing is happening we are now down to 1 chick. What do you think might be going wrong? or is this the norm? I think I might turn the camera off, this certainly isn't like spring watch.
