Good morning everyone
I'm new to the site but not new at watching fascinating birds.
I am surprised that I already have a robin in and out of my robin nesting box, and a blue tit doing the same in one of my other nesting boxes.A lovely sight.I'm disappointed that my Rowan tree hasn't had it's usual visit from a flock of red wings. In previous years I have watched them gobbling up the red berries in January and February, but If there is supposed to be a shortage of sparrows, I have all of Essex's in my garden!!
I am not an experienced twitcher, but I so enjoy the birds in my garden , and every morning go out and top up my tables and feeders with seed and make sure there is fresh water in my bird baths.Their appreciation is lovely to watch.

Welcome from me in North Wales and welcome too from Sheila who is a rescued bird in our Sanctuary. She had been kept for several years in a parrot cage but now has a large aviary just off the kids play area and she loves watching them and saying hallo to anyone who stops by!

God gave us two ears and one mouth for a very good reason!
Loads of sparrows in my small garden. They are really funny. There is a group of them around 15 in all and they all hang around together, they bath in the soil together, fly around together, argue and scrap in the hedge together and copy each other. Whe the bird bath is full there is a constant stream of spraying water whilst they all take turns.
