Most of you are probably already aware that October is the month that we recommend for nest box maintenance and cleaning, its a time of year where nesting has finished and birds are not yet as reliant on the boxes for winter roosting sites.
A quick recap on what we recommend you do!
Fingers crossed it will be occupied again, if not over winter as a roost then in the spring as a nesting site!
If you have cleaned your nest box recently and have found something interesting, we would really like to see your pictures!

I can't even find my one nest box! Its nailed to the stump of an old lilac tree that I cut down and let the ivy run riot. Its in there somewhere with a wind speed measurer screwed to the top of it but there is now so much ivy that i can't see either!
I know I've got a wasps nest in another but no birds nests this year unfortunately.
Cheers

I'm not bald. I've just got ingrowing hair!
One non-starter and a pretty big chick that didn't make it.
