I have previously written that my camera nesting box has been taken over by bumblebees. While 'mum' and 'dad' are busy collecting pollen there is quite a chorus of buzzing going on, so they must have a number of young. My second nesting box is on the side of the garage and I know that bees have taken it over, too, although I don't have a camera inside. I have just gone past and have seen two bees going in, and after a few minutes, they came out again. They both looked like normal honey bees to me. Is that possible?
I thought I'd just mention that my third nesting box has a pair of blue tits inside.
Hi Lizzie, they could be a species of solitary bees, Some of these have an appearance of honey bees,
Great to hear that they are doing well in your garden (even if you can't watch the birds nest in them)

The boxes, not the bees, lol
Hi Lizzie
It's fortunate that Blue Tits are nesting in one of your nest boxes, it sounds like you may need a bee box for next year so that the birds can get a look in with their nest boxes.
They are less likely to be normal honey bees, as these would usually have a hive to go home too, but if they are then it's worth having a look on Google to see if there are any local bee keepers in your area, as they will wish to come and collect them
Best wishes Chris

If they were honey bees I think you would see more than two going in and out.
Congratulations on your bluetits nesting in at least one of your nest boxes but how cool is it to have bumble bees using the one with the camera :-)
