As the Yanks say a "bum shot"

I did not know where to post this, to here, or to Camera technical request  This is of my blue tits nesting in the wall ,I was out in the garden with  the camera other evening trying to get a shot of a tree creeper (unsuccessful), but just saw the Blue tit going onto the front of nest , a bit late ,or do I need a faster shutter speed ?, I will keep practising my photographic skills  LOL
