My little robin friend is nesting in one of the roosting pouches in my hedge! I went to remove a sticking out branch and looked in at the roosting pouch and there was nest in there! Later one a little robin was watching me as I watered some of the plants. Good timing too - I put out some unwanted gecko food today!

Thats great KatTai, but what are these roosting pouches? Sounds interesting.
There are 9000 species of bird on earth. Let's keep it that way.
They are the little straw-like houses for birds to roost in like these - http://shopping.rspb.org.uk/p/Nestboxes/Roosting_pockets.htm
Ok thanks KatTai. I shall have to try those next year as my Robins don't seem to like my purpose bult boxes.
The pouches haven't been out that long, think I put them up earlier this year! I'm so thrilled that they have decided to nest in one, I just hope they raise lots of lovely chicks! The hedge is prickly too so hopefully that will stop the cat from getting to them, will just have to watch the dog when it's fledgling time as at my aunts she picked up a fallen sparrow chick and carried it into the house to show my aunt lol The fledgling was unharmed and my aunt just popped it straight back outside but I don't want to end up with a conveyor belt of robin chicks been carried into the house lol
