Hi there
As mentioned throughout various thread I have 2 Bird Boxes- one is fine to use, and the other needs a bit of TLC, some areas replaced etc .... (yes, still to be done)
Anyway, this one we got is one we bought form the RSPB about 4 years ago. It is now pinned to the 3rd Trellis we have above the garden seat) at the back of our garden so we can see all the action form our patio window through our binoculars or scope.
I hope we are not too late for our feathered friends, and they find it a comfortable 5 star B&B, as it should be. There is plenty of cover to fly into from danger, and protection from the winds, sun and the rain - due to close contact with various bushes and slightly larger evergreen trees
We will now keep and toes crossed for new residents.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
No signs of any action yet and luckily the box is in view from where I sit in the front room here. I will have to give the bushes a little trim as the view is a little impaired at the moment
Love to know if we get any lodgers now and hope we did not put up the bird box too late on in the year.
Oh Blackbird I'm lovin your birdbox and how natural it looks unlike mine lol I hope you have some luck over the next few days ......
Feeling More Positive :-)
Hi Kim, and everyone
Thank you for your kind reply, and your good wishes about my birds
I could it being Blue Tit heaven so we will wait and see now.
I love your new box I've been out and got one for the robins as I seem to have a couple of pairs that come to the garden.
I already have a box and in comparison to all the other boxes it would be termed as a "new build" if it were on an housing estate lol
If only I could be free as the birds the places I could visit would be out of this world
