Just reserved two nestboxes to pick up from Argos tomorrow, it will help complete the garden make-over lol They are going in the trees at the back as that is the only really suitable place for them at the moment! One is open-fronted and the other is a hole nesting box. Not sure if anything will use them as it is a bit late to be putting them up though!

hi there our local wildlife people have spent all week putting up hundreds of boxes in the local woods, and they told me they always do it this time of year so keep fingers crossed for you.lovely pic of a gekco you got there.
i say always look on the bright side of life, as you cannot see anything on the other ?
Hi kattai
Good luck with your nest boxes, we intend to get one this year and are going to put it on the house wall in the honeysuckle in the hope to get some blue tits nesting in it.

Hi Merlin,
I hope something will move in! There are plenty of blue and great tits around that I'm sure must need a home lol
And thanks for the comment on my avatar, she's called Sahara and she's the most easy to photograph of my geckos lol

I've got some honeysuckle for the fence, but I don't think that will grow fast enough to provide cover for nest boxes this year so I'll have to wait until that has growna bit before I can put nest boxes up so the only place they can go at the moment is in the trees, and then maybe next year get a couple more!
hi kat i hope you dont mind me saying, the open fronted box would be best placed near some climbers or wall plants it may then attract spotted flycatchers, (sahara is a lovely name) i think the eyes are brilliant will have to try and find my pics of some lizards i photagraphed. thats if your interested.
Hi Kat
I never thought of Argos for nest boxes. I bet they are much more reasonably priced than the ones I have seen in garden centres.
Sadly, my trees don't have any branches that are large enough for nest boxes so I will have to wait a while.
I hope that you are lucky and they are both used this season. :-)
Best wishes Chris
