I was lucky enough to get a sparrow terrace and a double house martin nest for Christmas and now want advice as to where to place them!
The first photo is for the sparrow terrace and i have marked sites on the front of my house, which would be best?
The second photo is for the house martin nests.there is a good open area in front. The eaves are quite deep so both boxes should fit under comfortably.

It's not always easy to hug a hedgehog.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
Hi Rachel,
The RSPB site has some good advice on positioning external nestboxes here :-)
Plus other nestbox topics here, where they also give some good advice on positioning internal nestboxes as well.
Best wishes Chris

I believe sparrows like to be high up, so would suggest A and C, providing the front of your house is facing away from hot sun and cold winds.
My sparrow terrace was used by bluetits - not for nesting but roosting - it made them a lovely bachelor pad!
Good luck!
Cheers, Linda.
