We have a nest with camera with 7 blue tit chicks (lost two early) and two parents that have been around loads fetching plenty of food/grubs for the chicks. The Healthy 7 are about 2 weeks old now, but mum (Geraldine) hasn’t returned tonight and the chicks are nonstop squabbling for warmth / middle spot.
Is it normal for the mum to take a night off / should we not worry? Or, if something has happened to her, anything we can do to help these 7 seemingly healthy chicks?
