Hi,
I’ve recently moved my bird box. Do people think that it’s in a suitable location ?
Thanks in advance,
Richard
Hi Richard, my only concern would be a preditor could easily get from the fence (can't judge the distance) or from the top of the shed to the box? Is the box facing N/NE? That way it will not be in full sun.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Also, is that shed in use with the door right next to the birdbox? Is it possible to attach to house wall where there will be less disturbance? Some guidance from BTO ...

It’s SE facing but is covered by the hedge. The fence is close but a cat couldn’t get across the fence as the hedge is think and overhangs.
I do use the shed but not at all during the winter/spring. If there were a hint of a nest I’d not use it until.
This is where it was before, but felt it was too exposed
Seems like a better location to me but which direction was it facing and how far above conservatory roof?
On the back of the house it was facing north east. I felt it was too exposed it was only a few inches from the floor of the conservatory roof.
The direction is right, could you not place it on the other side of that bedroom window ?
I’ve booked the box, it’s south facing now but has shady cover with a clear flight path.
Still think it will be too warm! See what others think!
