Two Blue Tit nesting streams. 2022

I thought I would post this if anybody is interested: - TitCam - YouTube

Would be interested what I do with the few dead chicks in one of the boxes. I don't want to disturb them.

  • You do absolutely nothing as its an offence to interfere with a nest during breeding season

You have to wait until late September to clean it am afraid

    (Pardon the Scottish Accent)

  • As Linda says, do nothing.

Nature left to its own devices has its own clean up operations, where carrion birds like crows, magpies etc, will clear up, and if the nest is accessible to ground based mammals like foxes, that is food for them also.

Harsh, but that is nature, and why you rarely see dead birds, the clean up operation is usually very efficient if left to its own devices.
