Abandoned nest box, taken over by bees

We had sparrows nesting in a box on the back of our shed, they now appear to have gone and the nest box has been taken over by bees. What should I do? Obviously our bees should be protected so I don't want to do anything to harm them. Any suggestions, please?

Hi,Yvonne.Have you a picture? I`m wondering if they`re tree bees.I`ve got them in the roof & the drones seem active just now.It`s generally best to do nothing & avoid trying to look into the nest box hole if I were you :-)
