I've been fortunate enough to attract Great tits into a nest box this year and they have kept me entertained for days. I sit within 2 metres of their flight path with camera on their way into the box. At first they were a bit wary of me but I sit very still and now they are used to me and nothing stops them from feeding their chicks every couple of minutes throughout the day. How both parents manage to find so many bugs is amazing. Spiders, caterpillars, flying insects and fat from a feeder. Better than TV is this and I'm enjoying every minute I can spare.

If its no fun Yer no doin it right!
What a fabulous set of photos. Thanks so much for sharing them. It is amazing what you see when you take time out to just sit quietly and observe. Every aspect of a bird's life is in the garden. I am in total awe of my garden birds and how they behave throughout the breeding season, from finding a partner to saying goodbye to their children. Wonderful to witness.
Cheers, Linda.

Brilliant series of photographs. Thanks for showing them.
Lovely pics and story - I'm new to birdwatching and never thought after all these yrs I'd be excited with a great tit when it flew onto my bird station last week. The striking colours of this bird are remarkable & so good to see up close. Looking at pics like this encourage the new to birdwatching - well done Sir!
