not sure what to do about bird box?

I think the great tit that was nesting on our bird box has left, should I check and clean the box out or leave it until later in year ? , any advice much appreciated as it is my first bird box. It is high up in a tree so I can't peek in and do not wish to disturb birds if they are in residence :)

Definitely leave it until the Autumn. It's unlikely but sometimes Great Tits will have a second brood. If you clean it out before the cold weather sets in tits will often use boxes to roost in during the Winter.
