I agree with Alan, dead chicks will be removed.
Kind Regards,
Ben
Hello, I'm sorry, I'm not really replying to you but I just don't know how to start my own query! We have 8 chicks in a box in our garden but their mum has disappeared! What should I do?
Thank you for your help!
No they were not ready to fledge. They were alive when we saw them in the evening then gone the next morning. The 4 that are left look ready to go in a couple of days but mum hasnt returned this evening for the first time they are on there own overnight is this usual ? Regards Pam
This morning 2 more dead chicks but mum has returned and is busy feeding the last two. Its harsh watching and I have shed a few tears but hopefully at least one will survive (please)
It is hard to watch I agree but a great learning curve for me. I now realise just how hard it is to survive and I appreciate these lovely creatures even more!! There is just one chick left in the box mother and father are feeding and the chick is looking great fingers crossed
regards Pam
Hello just joined and want to say how amazing. It is to have a nest box with a camera. In it. We're. So pleased to have a blue. Tit. Nesting in it with 9 eggs. She's. Appears. To be alone. With no sign of a mate should we be worried.
