Blue Tits nesting box

After 4 long years we finally have blue tits nesting inthe nesting box we erected on our garage wall that we can see from our kitchen and lounge. Sadly we are about to move in about 2 weeks. (Happy for us though) I am leaving a note for our purchasers making them aware. My question is, where we are moving to there are nesting boxes high on the garage wall, if there are no birds nesting atm is it ideal to take them down and give them a clean or is if best to leave them. I have no idea how long they have been there or indeed when they were last nested in as sadly the owner has passed away. Any advice would be helpful please.
